Emalin is exhibiting new works by Alvaro Barrington in dialogue with works by Teresa Farrell and Cristine Brache. This is the Brooklyn-based artist’s first gallery exhibition. Weiss Falk  is presenting a series of works on paper – Die Wandlungen by the Swiss artist David Weiss. This is the first time Weiss’ drawings, completed between 1973 and 1979, are exhibited in the UK. For the duration of Condo, selected publications by Hacienda Books will be available for purchase at the gallery.

Alvaro Barrington (b. 1983, Caracas, VE – lives and works in Brooklyn, NY, USA) completed his MFA at The Slade School of Art, London in 2017. His first solo museum presentation, curated by Klaus Biesenbach, took place at MoMA PS1 (Long Island City, NY, USA) in October 2017.

David Weiss (1946 – 2012, Zurich, CH) graduated in 1968 in Basel, pursuing an independent practice and developing his own body of work prior to meeting Peter Fischli in 1979. From then on until his death in 2012, they collaborated as the collective Fischli/Weiss, exhibiting in major institutions internationally. Recent exhibitions of his early drawings include Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur (2014, Chur, CH) and Swiss Institute New York (2014, New York, NY, USA).
